The Cubs currently have at least 7 players on the DL or dealing with injuries of some kind. Lou has watched his guys drop like flies this year, minor injury after minor injury, topped off with a huge injury to stud 3B Aramis Ramirez. The injury news seems to be good on every front right now, however.

Rich Harden threw a successful bullpen session on Thursday and is expected to make a rehab start for the Iowa Cubs on Sunday. He is then expected to be activated and start for the Cubs next Friday or Saturday at home against Minnesota.

Aaron Miles in expected to be activated from the disabled list by the time the Cubs return home from their Road trip on June 12th.

According to Lou Piniella, Milton Bradley will not be placed on the disabled list, after straining his calf, this weekend against the Braves. He is expected to be available to pinch hit this upcoming series against the Reds, and may be back in the lineup against the Astros next week. I'll believe that when I see it though.

Bleacher Nation found a small snippet in the Chicago Tribune about the status of Aramis Ramirez. He has now resumed baseball activities and the Cubs are hoping to get him back by early July. At the very latest I hope he will be back in time to play the whole second half. That would be a huge boost.

Alfonso Soriano has been dealing with a sore knee for several weeks now, but assured the media and fans that he is fine and does not need to take any extra days off. His speed may be taken away for the time being, but since he hasn't run much as a Cub anyway, I don't think it matters all that much, just hit.

As for Ryan Freel and Chad Fox, I haven't heard any updates, but I wouldn't care if neither saw another game for the Cubs this season, in fact I'd be pretty pissed if Chad Fox did.

Anyway, it looks like hopefully over the next few weeks the Cubs should be finally getting to back to full strength, lets just hope no one else gets hurt before then.
