Finally. Jose Valverde is out of the National League and has signed with the Detroit Tigers according To Tim Brown of Yahoo:

The former Houston Astros and Arizona Diamondbacks closer has been pretty much the best pitcher on the planet against the Cubs since he entered the league in 2003, putting up a 0.74 career ERA against them.

Even better, there were rumors the Cardinals were interested in signing him. If he were in that uniform, there's no way the Cubs would've ever put the ball in play.

Oh, and we won't have to see his douchetastic dances anymore.
